What I ordered: -Salmon Belly Musubi [4/5] -Loco Moco Musubi [4/5] _ I visited Takahashi Market on a Saturday afternoon around 3, but unfortunately, they were sold out of musubis. I came back earlier another day, around noon, and the case was fully stocked! I should have checked the reviews, as many mention that they typically sell out by 1-2 PM. I ordered the loco moco and salmon belly musubi, and both were delicious! The loco moco was especially unique and packed with flavor. It's a small market offering grocery items, poke, and other lunch plates. There are a few tables outside if you want to dine there, but most people grab their food to go.

Great place for musubi rolls. We shared a salmon crawfish roll and a Portuguese sausage roll. They come cut in half and wrapped in aluminum foil. Each musubi is quite large, enough for a full meal if you're not too hungry. The salmon crawfish was very creamy and full of umami, and the sausage was tasty as well. Overall the fillings had just the right amount of salt to balance out the rice.

We've been going to Takahashi Market for years, but before the pandemic, so it was nice to revisit with them. Still amazing quality seafood, especially the poke. Also, the pre-made musubi of various flavors in two sizes are awesome. I only picked up a snack, since we just ate lunch. Smoked Salmon Musubi (4/5). The musubi is filled with a generous portion of cooked smoked Salmon. It has a slight mayonnaise taste to it. The seaweed is quite oily, so be careful. Otherwise, the musubi is so tasty and savory.

I love lovelove Takahashi Market. I love that it's a small, family-owned market with friendly staff, which makes it feel so homey. If you wanted to find something that you saw or ate in Hawaii, this is the place to check out. I haven't seen another market that sells this variety of specialty items. It makes me feel like I'm back in Hawaii again. It's not cheap though, but when I get a craving for haupia, I know I'll definitely find it here. Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't also mention little take-out food area in the market, Sachi's Kitchen. From the poke, musubi, loco moco, and the rice plates (I love the salmon ones).. everything is made so well with good portion sizes. Can't wait to visit again soon!
